SAVANNAH, GA -
Leaders with the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team arrested 3 men for allegedly distributing drugs. THe father and sons trio were arrested following a local and federal drug investigation. Tuesday afternoon, CNT released the following report about the arrest:
"A father and two sons are arrested following an operation conducted by the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team (CNT).
Earlier this month, CNT, along with Federal Probation, began investigating 46-year-old Ernest Moore of Savannah after receiving information that Moore was engaging in the distribution of controlled substances. CNT partnered with Federal Probation after discovering that Moore is on Federal Release following a conviction on drug related charges.
This morning, CNT agents and Federal probation officers conducted a search of Moore's residence located at Archer Way Townhomes, 10615 Abercorn Street. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of a large amount of marijuana (most of which was packaged for distribution), other items commonly utilized in the distribution of controlled substances, and two firearms. Also seized from the residence was more than $3,900.00 in U.S. currency. Moore and his two sons, 22-year-old Kiwani Patterson and 27-year-old Terell Patterson, who were both present at the residence, are all convicted felons and, as such, cannot legally be in possession of a firearm.
Both Moore and Kiwani Patterson were charged with numerous felony charges to include Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Kiwani Patterson was also on Parole for a drug conviction at the time of his arrest. Terell Patterson was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
All three are being held at the Chatham County Detention Center and are expected to be arraigned tomorrow in the Recorder's Court of Chatham County, Georgia."
