A small gas leak led to an evacuation Wednesday night at a new dorm building at Savannah State University. According to a university spokesperson tells us a crew with the Atlanta Gas Light Company was installing a hot water heater outside the Tiger Pointe dorm building when the small gas leak occurred. The building was evacuated shortly after as a precaution. No injuries were reported. The university spokesperson says students were later cleared to go back inside.
