Hampton County Authorities Search For Homicide Suspect

HAMPTON COUNTY, S.C. -

Authorities in Hampton County are searching for a homicide suspect. The following statement was released by authorities: 

"The Hampton County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for a homicide suspect. A Be On the Lookout Bulletin (BOLO) was issued for Hampton County and surrounding areas around 6:45 p.m. Monday. According to the radio BOLO, the HCSO is searching for a man wanted in connection with a homicide in Hampton County. He is described as a black male by the name of Jerome Barnes, no age or address given, about 5'3" or 5'4" in height, possibly armed and dangerous, and believed to be driving a green Mazda.  Contact 911 if you have any information, and avoid contact with this suspect. Barnes may be wanted in connection with a shooting reported in the Scotia area earlier Monday afternoon."
