Bikers from around the Savannah area revved their engines for a good cause Saturday. The bikers rode to remember those lost in the sugar refinery explosion five years ago in Port Wentworth.
The president of the Red Knights Georgia Chapter 15 said the event helps keep the memory alive.
"We liked it so much we kept the tradition going and we do it to donate to the Georgia Burn Center every year in memory of the victims of the explosion," said Tommy Branch.
Branch said in the Sugar Run's five years the event has raised around $40,000.
