Filters to be installed at homes with TCE contamination in Wake Forest

WAKE FOREST, N.C. -

A Raleigh company will begin installing filters at some homes in Wake Forest with high water contamination levels of TCE.

The Environmental Protection Agency has hired Kinetico to install the filters at Mangum Estates.

Twenty-one homes on Stony Hill Road tested positive for dangerous levels of the cancer causing chemical TCE. New contamination was discovered in the water supply at nine homes in Mangum Estates.

The filters will be delivered around 9:30 this morning.
