Police Swarm Neighborhood Following Armed Robbery

From Savannah Chatham Metro Police:

"Four men are being interviewed after surrendering to Metro Police surrounding the house where they were hiding following a home invasion robbery Monday. Islands Precinct officers from the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 2300 block of Downing Avenue where victims said gunmen had entered the residence and had stolen items.

Central Precinct officers soon located a gray Infiniti seen leaving the robbery location in the 1600 block of East 37th Street. Two men were found trying to enter another car in the garage and two others in the house signaled to police outside that they wanted to surrender.

Detectives from the SCMPD Robbery Unit continue to investigate. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). In the body type, include "CStop2020" plus the tip. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward."
