Erica Anderson

Erica Anderson joined the 9 On Your Side news team in August of 2012 as a digital journalist.  

Prior to WNCT, Erica spent the last year behind the scenes, as a sports producer at WUSA9 in Washington D.C.

Before her time in the nation's capital, she spent time in Tallahassee, Florida as a broadcast specialist for FAMU-TV20 and an editor for WTXL. While in Florida's capital city, she covered everything from the 2008 presidential election, to the BP oil spill, to Florida State football.

Erica graduated from Florida A&M University with a master's degree in broadcast journalism.  While at FAMU, Erica earned a Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence award for her "Paycheck Boys" documentary. She's also had internships with WTXL, NASCAR, and WEIU in Charleston, Illinois.

Before graduate school Erica attended Concordia University, Irvine on a softball scholarship and received a bachelor or arts degree in Psychology.  As a varsity athlete, she helped the CUI Eagles make their first NAIA national tournament during here senior season.

When she's not reporting Erica likes to travel, spend time with friends and family, and do anything sports related.
