State Representative Earl “Buddy” Carter announced today that he’ll run for the District One senate seat.
Carter has served in the Georgia general assembly since 2005 as the representative for District 159.
He also served as mayor of the City Of Pooler for five terms as well as Chairman of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Planning Commission.
He told News Three what his plans are if elected…
“Tourism is obviously important in our area. We need to make sure that we continue to support that economic development, the creation of jobs. That’s what’s so vitally important. That’s what people are looking for now.“
