SCMPD officers arrest three in looting at auto repair shop

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - The West Chatham Precinct of SCMPD responded to a noise complaint at 4 a.m. on the 1100 block of West Gwinnett Street. When they arrived at the scene they found several pieces of broken glass around an auto repair shop, which prompted them to check the business for unlawful entry.

According to a release from SCMPD, K-9 officers arrived as backup in cleaning the business and announced themselves when they entered the repair shop. When they did, one suspect alerted officers of their presence.

Officers located and arrested Javier West, Robert Williams and A-Miracle Smith. They officers had arrived before anything was taken.

The three suspects are facing burglary and violation of curfew charges.
