An outpouring of love and caring as West Savannah Ministers for Human and Community Revitalization presented a check to the Imperial Sugar Refinery Victims Relief Fund.
The ministers donated $1,000 and gave the check to representatives from Imperial Sugar Thursday morning.

The ministers' group isn't stopping there: they plan to give even more money from the alliance and they invite the community to continue generously giving to help the families of the burn victims as they struggle to recover.

Of the 20 patients injured in the explosion and fire on February 7, three workers still remain in critical condition at the Augusta burn center. Two are listed in good condition.

On Monday, Georgia Congressman John Barrow and Port Wentworth officials will discuss the future of worker protection from combustible dust, after a bill was passed last month by the House that would help protect refinery workers from dust explosions.
