SPC Derek Hall is with the 3rd ID serving his 2nd tour in Iraq. Derek calls Texas home but his family is currently living at Fort Stewart. He has been serving with our armed forces since 2003 and just celebrated the birth of his son before his latest deployment last fall. |
Sgt. Teon Ameer is a combat medic at Fort Stewart and is serving his second tour in Iraq. He and his wife, Amy, have three children, and she says he is intelligent, generous, family oriented, and a great provider. |
Major Will Johnson is serving in Iraq with the Army. He and his wife, Jessy, have a 13-month-old son, and Jessy says he's a true patriot, a hero to many, and a wonderful husband and father. |
Sgt. Mark Calvin Gibson is serving with the Army in Kuwait. |
Sgt. Sean Conover is currently serving his second tour in Iraq. He's been in the Army and at Fort Stewart since 1999. His wife and 3 daughters couldn't be more proud of him and the sacrifices he makes every day, and they wish him a speedy and safe return. |
Captain Benjamin Bryant is currently serving overseas in his second deployment. He is an amazing leader and husband who is highly dedicated to his country and his marriage. His wife, Martha Anne, says she's so proud to married to such a brave man! |
SGT William Matsen is over in Iraq for his third tour. He is missed by his Wife Stacey his 10-year-old daughter and his 2-year-old son, who can't wait for his return. Stacy says, "I support our troops - 'Hooah!'." |
SPC Scott Hahn with the 3rd ID is currently serving his 1st tour in Iraq. He recently celebrated his 27th birthday. His fiance, Amy Allen, says it's been a long deployment without him, but she's so proud of him and is counting down the days until this is all over. |
SPC Lee Cummings is currently on his second tour of duty with 3rd ID to Iraq. He is being missed greatly by his wife, Amanda, and dogs Bubba and Max. They all can not wait till he gets home again! |
PFC Troy Buford is serving in Iraq with the 3-7 Infantry out of Fort Stewart. This is his first tour; he was married in July 2007 and deployed in October. His wife, Amanda, says Troy is always putting others first and has great pride in his job. She can't wait for his return in 2009. |
Spc. Kisiueta Tufono, based at Fort Stewart, serving his second tour in Iraq. His wife, Allice, says he's been a wonderful father to their children and he puts everyone's needs before his. She says their son asks for him every day and she replies, "Daddy's at work." |
Spc Chad Wilcher is currently deployed to Iraq with the 101st Airborne. He was married July 1st of this year and deployed in Sept. His family says he is their strength, and they pray for his safety every day along with all the other soldiers currently deployed. |
Pastor Norris D. Darden Jr., is serving in Afghanistan. He is a great pastor, teacher, husband and father. His family and congregation at the New Generation Full Gospel Baptist Church misses him and says he truly loves the people of God. |
PFC Tobe Marchione is serving in Iraq. He and his wife, Julie, have three young children. She says they are very proud of him and his decision to serve our country in the Army. The miss him and hope he makes the most of the holidays away from home. |
SSG Bradley Perkins is serving in Iraq with the Air Force. His wife, Melissa, says he takes pride in serving his country and is following in his father's footsteps. She and their two young children can't wait for him to return home. |
Spc.Shane Osborn, 3rd ID from Fort Stewart, serving his first tour in Iraq. His mom says he brought her to Ga. so she could be closer to him. He was married in August 2006 and is a great husband and father to his stepdaughter. |
Spc. Parker and Spc. Averett are best friends who've have been in the Army together since 2004 and are in the 3rd ID. Parker's wife says she's very proud of both of them and wishes a safe return for "all of our guys." |
Pfc. Brandon Porter, stationed at Fort Hood, TX, will be deployed to Baghdad in the fall. He enlisted in the Army a few months after his father, Spc. Gay, in 2006. The day his father graduated from Fort Benning, Porter arrived to start basic training. |
Benjamin Fritsch, serving in Iraq. His wife, Melissa, says he's a great husband and amazing father. He always lets them know how much he loves them and always makes them laugh. |
Zane is a Marine serving in Iraq. He grew up in Richmond Hill and is the son of Ainsley Dunn. His brother, Jared, is also serving in the Marine Corps. |
SPC Todd Smith, serving in Iraq for 15 months. His wife, Bethany, says he is an amazing husband who always puts others before himself, which is why he became a soldier. |
Bishop/Chaplain Larry L. Shaw, serving in Afghanistan. He leads a group of volunteers who provide humanitarian support. Submitted by members of the Church of God in Christ in Hinesville. |
Proud Army wife K. Whitney says her husband is on his third trip to the Middle East. He works with Chinooks. May this all end soon. God Bless our Troops. |
Spc. William Gay, stationed out of Fort Stewart, currently on his first deployment to Baghdad. His wife, Kelli, says he was tired of watching the news and feeling helpless. He enlisted in March 2006 at the "young" age of 37. |
Sgt. Eric Matyka, serving in Iraq. His wife says their four-month-old son's eyes light up when he hears Daddy's voice on the phone. He will miss their son's first year of life, but she's very proud of him for serving our country. |
Spc. Andre Spell's wife, Krystel, says he's her hero because he's the best father and is giving his all to protect us. She loves him and can't wait for him to return safely. |
Spc. Jorge J. Fournier, of the 3rd ID based at Hunter Army Airfield, is in Iraq for the second time. His wife, Noelia, says she loves him and is always proud of him. |
Specialist Antonio Walton, serving in Iraq. He is a good soldier, the greatest husband and a wonderful father of three boys. He deployed for the second time in January. |
SSG Christopher Finklea is in Iraq. He will be celebrating a birthday in January. His family misses him very much and anxiouly awaits his return home. |
Staff Sgt. Kristopher Bell is in the Air Force, currently serving in Iraq. His wife, Leila, says he is the most loving, caring father and husband. He has missed most of their son’s first year and hates to miss his first birthday. |
Sgt. Lawrence Bruce is deployed in Iraq with the 3rd ID's 4th Bridgade. His wife, Jamie, says he's not only her husband but her best friend and her hero. His friends and family will be waiting for him when he comes home. |
PFC Elisha F. Turner Jr. is in Iraq, and his wife is in Texas where he is stationed. He also has a daughter in South Dakota. He's known by family and friends and "Junior." |
SPC Jeffery Turner was in the Army Reserves when he was sent to Iraq. He's scheduled to return in April. His wife, Christina, says he always makes her and their children feel safe and wanted and assures them that he'll come home when his job is done. |
SSG Mark Martin is on his third tour in Iraq. He recently got to see his new baby, Katielynn, for the first time. His wife, Brooke, says he has lost 5 good friends since this war began and they pray everyday that there will be no more. He is her American hero. |
SPC Dennis Kary Nelms Jr. is currently serving his first tour in Iraq. During his R&R he got to see the birth of his first child. He and his love were high school sweethearts. He will be home soon from a 15-month tour. |
SPC Daniel Brooks is currently serving his first tour in Iraq. He is missed by parents Robert and Petra Brooks, sister Stephanie, and fiance Adele Anthony. Danny asked his mom to send toys for the children instead of packages for himself, and she spread the word. Now he is distributing gifts to Iraqi children all the way from America. |
Sgt. Robert Sharkey is serving in Iraq. His wife, Mary, says she's proud to say that she's married to an American Hero. She misses him and can't wait to see hime again soon. |
CPL Jeremy McIntosh is serving overseas. He and his wife, Christy, had their first child in December 2007, and he deployed in January. Christy says he wants to talk to her each time he calls and tries to see her when he can over the web cam. She says they will stay strong until he comes home. |
SPC Plante serves with the 3rd Infantry Division. His wife Sharon says they were married during midtour leave. |
SGT Matt Boyles is currently on his third deployment to Iraq with the 233rd Transportation Company. A great leader who balances his duty to his country with being a dedicated and loving husband. He is always willing to go above and beyond when it comes to serving his country and helping his fellow soldiers. His family loves him and misses him very much but are very proud of him and his service to our country. |
