On Thursday, the Effingham County Sheriff's Office Drug Investigation Unit arrested five people on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute (MDMA, or ecstasy) and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime.

Arrested were:
21-year-old Paul Lewis Pinero of Rincon
24-year-old Joseph Michael Stidhams of Rincon
34-year-old Brian Lee Rustin of Rincon
20-year-old Katie Ann Kirkpatrick of Savannah
23-year-old Sally Savannah Hughes of Rincon 

All are being held in the Effingham County Jail pending court appearances.   

Sheriff McDuffie said that investigators conducted the arrest after receiving information of a delivery of MDMA (ecstasy) into Effingham County and intercepted the shipment at the Goshen BP Gas Station.
