A native Floridian, Tristan Tully was born in Tampa, and grew up on the beautiful beaches of Clearwater, FL. Tristan’s passion for broadcasting came from her sports background. She was a competitive gymnast for 13 years and then in high school, Tristan was a three sport athlete in soccer, track and was the kicker for the men’s varsity football team. She went on to attend Florida State University, where she was a sprinter on the varsity track and field team and graduated in 2004. Tristan joined the News 3 staff in July 2007, as the night-side and weekend reporter.
Prior to her arrival at News 3, Tristan began her broadcasting career at WCTV in Tallahassee, FL as an associate producer. She then went on to do freelance sports reporting and hosting with Fox Sports Net, Sun Sports, WPDS and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, where she reported during spring training and hosted their 2007 Fan Fest.
Tristan recently won a prestigious 2007 Telly Award for hosting a show called “Band Masters” for WPDS in Clearwater.
When she’s not reporting the news, Tristan enjoys traveling and has been all over the world including South Africa and Panama. She also likes playing sports, learning to speak Spanish, trying new restaurants, playing piano, cheering on her Noles, and most importantly, spending time with her family, friends and little dog, Tatum.
