SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - Police say a suspect wanted for robbing a SunTrust last week has been arrested.
According to the Savannah Police Department (SPD), 46-year-old Frederick Cooks was taken into custody on Monday, April 16.
He has been charged with armed robbery.
SPD says Cooks entered the bank on Abercorn Street on Tuesday, April 10, around 1:00 p.m. They say he gave the cashier a note which demanded cash and indicated he had a weapon.
Cooks did not display a weapon, according to SPD, but he received cash and fled the store.
A series of tips were submitted to CrimeStoppers after Cooks' photo was shared on WSAV on-air and online.
