SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - Five coastal counties in Georgia and South Carolina are hiring teachers right now.
Beaufort, Bryan, Chatham, Effingham and Liberty counties are all taking applications for new hires.
Chatham wants to hire 100 teachers, Beaufort needs 41, Effingham is listing 10 spots, Liberty is searching for 38 educators and Bryan County School District wants to fill 14 teaching positions.

If you have a 4-year degree already, you can take the assessment test and find out how many teaching credits you'll need to earn the certificate.
Some districts will put you in the classroom while you earn that additional education.They are looking for bus drivers too.
Savannah Chatham County Public School System Teacher Recruiter, Heather Bilton, says starting salary for a new teacher with a 4-year degree in their district is $41,000, plus great benefits.
